Privacy

In short: Telsiz doesn’t ask for an account. Your game progress, badges and settings stay in this browser only and are never sent to our server. If you allow it, we count visits with Umami on our own server. If you join the mailing list, your address is kept by Bumba Group’s shared mailing list service.

What’s kept in your browser

Telsiz doesn’t use cookies. The items below are kept in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). They are all first-party (only telsiz.bumba.tr can read them), are never sent to a server, and stay until you delete them. The site needs them to work; they’re in the “Essential” group of the cookie banner.

Key What it holds Why
bumba-cerez Your cookie choice and the policy version So we don’t ask again
telsiz-tema Your light or dark theme choice To remember your theme
telsiz-dil The language you picked To open the home page in your language
telsiz-ayarlar Text size, notification choice, fast mode, music and sound effect choice, volume To remember your game settings
telsiz-oyun:<game> Your progress in that game: messages read, decisions made, when the current wait ends, rewind points To pick up where you left off
telsiz-arsiv Endings and epilogue cards you’ve unlocked, turning-point options you’ve seen, counters for badges (e.g. “3 games finished”) To show the endings gallery and badges
telsiz-rozetler The IDs of the badges you’ve earned and the day you earned them To show the badges screen

In addition, a copy of the site’s pages and game files is kept in your browser’s cache (Cache Storage) so the game opens without a connection. This copy contains no personal data.

To delete them, clear this site’s data in your browser or use the “Delete badges” button on the badges screen.

Achievement badges

Telsiz has badges you earn through what you do in the games (for example, finishing a game or reaching three different endings).

  • What’s kept: only the ID of each badge you’ve earned and the day you earned it (your local date, no time), plus the counters needed to work out the conditions. No activity log, list of timestamps, device information, name or email is kept.
  • Where: in this browser’s local storage, under the telsiz-rozetler and telsiz-arsiv keys. It’s first-party and never sent to a server.
  • For how long: until you delete it.
  • How to delete it: the “Delete badges” button on the badges screen. Because badges are worked out from your game progress, the button also deletes your progress and endings gallery; otherwise the badges would simply be worked out again. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes everything too.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 5(2)(f) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law, KVKK). The data never leaves your device and you can see and delete it, so we don’t ask for separate consent.
  • Umami: If you’ve allowed statistics, the first time you earn a badge we count which badge it was. Like page visits, this count is recorded with browser, device, country and city information. Your name, email and progress are never sent.

Statistics (Umami)

This only runs if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner or turn Statistics on in the preferences. If you click “Reject” or make no choice, the counter isn’t loaded at all.

  • Where it runs: on Bumba Group’s own server (istatistik.bumba.tr). It uses no cookies.
  • What’s processed: the page you visit, your browser, device type, language, screen size, the site you came from, and the country and city worked out from your IP address. Your IP address isn’t stored. Visits are linked to a pseudonymous session, which is why we don’t call it “anonymous”.
  • Events counted: language and theme changes; searches (only whether anything was found, never the words you searched for); joining the mailing list (your address isn’t sent); starting a game; reaching an ending (the game and ending ID); the option chosen at a turning point (the game, turning point and option ID); earning a badge (the badge ID).
  • Why: to understand which pages and games people are interested in, which paths through the stories get played, and to improve the games accordingly.
  • Legal basis: explicit consent (KVKK Article 5(1)). You can withdraw it at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page; the counter stops from the next page load.

Mailing list

If you join the list at the bottom of the page, your email address is kept by Bumba Group’s shared mailing list service. You need to click the link in the confirmation email to join, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Details: mailing list privacy notice.

Notifications

If you allow it in a game, your browser shows a notification when a busy character is back. The permission is kept by your browser and can be withdrawn in its settings. Nothing is sent to a server for notifications; your browser shows them itself.

iOS and Android app

The app is this site installed on your device; everything above applies to it too. The differences:

  • Your game progress, archive and badges are also kept in the app’s own storage on your device, and are deleted when you uninstall it.
  • If you allow it, notifications are shown by your phone’s operating system. Nothing is sent to a server for them.
  • Umami statistics don’t count visits from inside the app.

External resources

The Bumba Games badge at the bottom of the page is loaded from bumbagroup.com, so your browser connects to bumbagroup.com (the same data controller). Fonts are served by this site itself. No other external service (ads, social media, video, maps) is used.

Server logs

The server that hosts the site may keep standard access logs (IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser information) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for as long as is technically necessary. Legal basis: legitimate interest (KVKK Article 5(2)(f)).

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to find out whether your personal data is processed, to request information, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to object. To make a request: bilgi@bumbagroup.com.
